The Industry Experience

Auditions, Professional Expectations & Booking Work.

Recommended for intermediate, advanced, and aspiring professional dancers seeking greater insight into the commercial dance industry.

The Industry Experience is a 5-hour training intensive designed to help dancers better understand, navigate, and prepare for professional dance environments.

Through industry discussions, camera training, and a realistic mock audition, participants gain practical insight into audition expectations, professional standards, and the skills needed to succeed in today's commercial dance industry.

Unlike a traditional choreography class, The Industry Experience blends movement training with professional education to simulate the expectations and demands of a real working dance environment.

  • arrive, get settled, and receive all event materials before the day begins.

  • Gain insight into the professional dance industry, from auditions and callbacks to rehearsals and performance opportunities. Learn practical strategies for showing up prepared, making a strong impression, and navigating professional environments with confidence and professionalism.

  • Take class with one of our industry guides, then apply what you've learned in a guided camera session focused on performance quality, presence, angles, and executing choreography for the lens

  • Train with one of our industry experienced guides, then step into a simulated professional audition environment where dancers will learn combinations, perform in groups, receive feedback, and gain insight into what casting teams look for during the audition process.

  • Wrap up the day with an open Q&A covering training, auditions, careers, and next steps for growth.
